Albany, NY - With 16 receptions through the first five games, Zee Roberson has emerged as UAlbany's number one receiver.
In Saturday's thrilling triple overtime loss to Richmond, the sophomore from Stroudsburg, Penn. had 5 receptions for 98 yards against the Spiders. However, Roberson also apparently suffered what is being called "a lower body injury" and is now questionable for this Saturday's Colonial Athletic Association game at Maine.
If Roberson can't go against the Black Bears, other Great Danes receivers will need to step up.
"I feel like I'm a mixture of everything, really," replied Jordan Crockett when asked Tuesday to describe his style of play. "I mean I have quickness, I can go up and get the ball, great route running. I can block -- even though I'm a little guy I can still block."
The 5'8" sophomore receiver from Fort Washington, MD will be among the Danes asked to fill the void should Roberson be lost for any length of time.
"I just pretty much do whatever the coaches ask of me," added Crockett. "If I'm out there, they put me there for a reason so I got to show them why they put me out there."
No. 17 UAlbany (4-1) will kick-off Saturday in Orono at 12:00pm.
