AOC, Bowman calling for Cuomo resignation over accusations of sexual harassment

WASHINGTON (WRGB) — Congressmembers Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman are calling for Governor Cuomo to resign, adding to a growing list of lawmakers from both sides.

In a tweet, both Ocasio-Cortez and Bowman say that they believe in the victims, as well as the Attorney General, who is working on launching an investigation into the accusations.

"After two accounts of sexual assault, four accounts of harassment, the Attorney General’s investigation finding the Governor’s admin hid nursing home data from the legislature & public, we agree with the 55+ members of the New York State legislature that the Governor must resign." she tweets.

Cuomo is under fire after accusations from 6 women, most who were former or current aides to the governor's office.

The 6th victim, accused Cuomo of reaching under her blouse and groping her at the Executive mansion, according to a report from the Times Union.

Cuomo has stated multiple times that he has no plans to resign.
