SCHENECTADY, NY (WRGB)--Union lacrosse recently enjoyed a breakfast of champions.

The Dutchmen were invited to eat with members of the fire department of New York City in Jamaica, Queens.

First year middie Jimmy Connelly's dad is the chief for Battalion 50, and extended the invitation to the team, following a red-eye flight last week.

Now at home in Schenectady, it's back to work for Union, hosting Wesleyan at Frank Bailey Field Wednesday afternoon.

Down one early, Jordan Cooper draws the defense, and dumps it off to Kerry Lyne. right on the doorstep...

That was Lyne's team-leading ninth goal of the year, and he also added an assist on the afternoon.

But the Cardinals rattle off three-straight goals, and the Dutchmen were never able to catch up.

They fall, 13-4.
